ORIGINAL MUSIC FROM THE JAMPHIBIANS
Written by Richard Middleton / Produced by John Keane
The Jamphibians is a Southern Rock and Blues Band from Charleston, South Carolina; however, their story began in Athens, Georgia when lead vocalist, Richard Middleton & lead guitarist, David Clark started collaborating on original music. Now Fast-forward 20 years, the two discovered they were both living in Charleston. They added 4 talented local musicians, Bob Kotarba, lead guitar, Kevin Clark, bass guitar, John McSweeney on Drums and Will Hamm, organ & piano to form the band.
The two seasoned lead guitarists, Bob Kotabara and David Clark have both been playing Allman Brothers songs since grade school, Expect to hear the harmony guitar sounds so close to Duane & Dickey that you might think they were on stage. The powerful raspy voice of lead singer, Richard Middleton will quickly grab and hold your attention from his first song, "Its Not my Cross to Bear." The solid rhythm section from drummer, John McSweeney and bassist Kevin Clark drive the groove and the haunting Hammond Organ through the spinning Leslie speakers played by organist William Hamm will take you back to 1971 at the Fillmore East.
Through the writing of Richard Middleton & David Clark, the guys have recorded three Albums under a former name. The first Jamphibians album with their newest songs will be released later this year. This Website features songs that will be included on the up coming Release. "Alice Jane" and "One of these Days" are on page one of the Website. On Page 2, there is a Video of "From Carolina," a crowd favorite, that films Richard Middleton singing the Vocal track for the song. Along with many songs by the Allman Brothers, you will hear some Jamphibians originals and choice covers from the Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Warren Haynes and many more.
